Due to continued improving trends related to covid-19 positivity rates, American General (AIG) has announced that effective May 12, 2021, the underwriting restrictions that were put in place in April 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic began will be lifted and is reinstating their previous underwriting guideline formats.
We are hopeful that as these trends continue, that other companies will follow suit over the next several months and loosen or remove their COVID underwriting restrictions. We will update you as we receive information regarding underwriting guidelines.
