If you’re trying to get a subsidy to help pay for your health insurance coverage, there are 4 eligibility requirements that need to be met:
1) You must live in the United States
2) You must be a citizen of the United States or be lawfully present in the country
3) Your household income cannot be more than 400% of the federal poverty level
4) You cannot be currently incarcerated
If you’re not trying to get a subsidy to help you pay for the coverage or you don’t qualify for one, you can still apply for health insurance.
