Parker’s Lane Emergency Physicians group has decided to terminate its network agreements with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and affiliate HealthKeepers, Inc. after September 14, 2014 – the ER group serves the Inova Mount Vernon hospital in Alexandria, VA.
The termination notice only applies to the ER physician group. The hospital and all other services providers (hospital-based) will remain part of the Anthem BCBS and HealthKeepers networks. Many in-network providers still remain in the Alexandria area.
The changes can impact members who may have bought individual and small group health plans (both on or off the health insurance exchanges).
