Yes, you will receive new ID cards for your Medicare supplement (Medigap) plan. You’ll want to keep your Medigap ID card with your Original Medicare Card (Medicare Parts A & B card). When you get a service done (e.g. going for a visit to the doctor’s office), you’re presenting both ID cards so the office knows to bill Medicare and the insurance company before sending a bill your way, if applicable. It may take 1-2 weeks for the carrier to generate the policy and ID cards and mail them to you.
