Two major changes were made to HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) under the new Affordable Care Act rules.
1) The elimination of being able to use money in your HSA for over-the-counter medicines.
2) The law increased the penalty from 10% to 20% for withdrawing funds from your HSA before the age of 65.
