Cigna has announced that they have reached an agreement with WellCare Health Plans to acquire Sterling Life (a wholly owned subsidiary of WellCare).  Sterling life sells Medigap plans in all 50 states and Washington, DC.  The purchase is expected to be completed within the next several months.
